 Hello everyone,

I have found a menu on a website I would like to use for a project.  The color is exactly what I need.  Is it possible to reverse engineer or copy this menu off the existing site?

I was able to get the CSS and a .js file, but it is missing something that is preventing it from displaying the initial menu on my site.  The MouseOver works, but not the original/default menu display.

Original site:

         http://www.personalchefmiami.com/

Test site (with menu not working )

          http://www.philliphebenstreit.com/menu

thanks for any time you spend looking at this,

Phill

Hey Phil,

Did you download the background image associated with the menu? It looks like that is all you are missing. The default menu text is white so without a background image for the menu the page background color is white so it looks like nothing there.
The URL for the menu background is:
../images/menuBkgd.gif

You can find it listed in the default.css file

Let me know if you have that, but that is what it looks like you are missing.

Terry

 Hi Terry,

Thank you Terry, that was the problem, I was missing the colored background.  I missed that while going through the files.

Thanks, now I can move on to the next problem.  ;-)  haha

This separation will improve content accessibility and not only that it provides more flexibility and control in the specification of presentation characteristics, enable multiple pages to share formatting, and reduce complexity and repetition in the structural content.
CSS is one of the milestone languages developed by W3C. Though it has its set of advantages and disadvantages just like any other developing language, it has still proven to be quite effective and used.
