Flash vs Silverlight
Just read about Microsoft trying to unseat Flash for streaming video on the web.  I have not seen much about it yet.  I would think they will have trouble getting marketshare away from Flash, but this is Microsoft.... They want to rule the world....

Re: Flash vs Silverlight

With Silverlight (formerly WPF/E) you can create unique Web and Dasktop Applications that allow you to create a custom Branding of a work or desktop computer. I have an example link of something I made before Silverlight was around. it uses a simular programing interface called DesktopX. example here: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/53611961/

This allows the Designer to enter a whole new world in UI development.

With Silverlight you will be able to create content from 3D animation, to Web and Desktop Applications. The 3D animation is achived when you use XAML/BAML along with Silverlight.

I enjoy this type of application customizing possibility. If you want to do a simular thing with Adobe Products, you can use Adobe Apollo with Flex/Flash and Acrobat 3D 8. Most of which isn't out on the market yet.

Thanks,
